Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, began her acting career in 2011 when she made her debut in the television series “The Sopranos”.
However, she gained widespread recognition for her role in the fifth season of the FX anthology series “American Horror Story”, titled “Hotel”. In the series, she played the character of Elizabeth Johnson, also known as “The Countess”, a vampire who runs the titular hotel.
Her performance in “American Horror Story: Hotel” earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television in 2016. She later returned to the series for its sixth season, “Roanoke”, in a smaller role.
Lady Gaga has also appeared in a number of films, including the 2013 film “Machete Kills”, in which she played the character of La Chameleón, and the 2018 musical drama “A Star is Born”, in which she played the lead role of Ally Maine. Her performance in “A Star is Born” earned her critical acclaim and several award nominations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
In addition to her acting roles, Lady Gaga has also made appearances as herself in a number of documentaries and television shows, including “Saturday Night Live” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.
