A Behind The Scenes Look At Joker 2 has brought us some great footage of the set and some small glimpses into what we can expect from the upcoming blockbuster film starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
Joker is a 2019 psychological thriller directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, a failed comedian who becomes the infamous DC Comics villain, the Joker.
The film is set in Gotham City in the 1980s and follows Arthur as he struggles to make a living as a clown-for-hire, cares for his mother, and deals with a debilitating mental illness that causes him to laugh uncontrollably at inappropriate times.
As Arthur’s life spirals out of control, he becomes increasingly isolated from society and begins to take violent revenge on those who have wronged him. His actions ultimately lead him to become a symbol of chaos and anarchy in Gotham City, inspiring a revolution against the wealthy and powerful.
The film explores themes of mental illness, social inequality, and the corrupting influence of power. Joaquin Phoenix’s performance as Arthur is widely acclaimed, and the film won numerous awards, including two Oscars for Best Actor and Best Original Score.
